Spicks and Specks and stuff
Here are some things I'm going to do. Maybe. If I can encourage you lot to do them with me. Let me know.
Sat 10 and Sun 11 Dec - Spicks and Specks on stage! Yes, it's a long way away but tickets are selling fast. There seem to be plenty still available for the 930 pm show on the Saturday.
Wed 7 Sept - TEDx Canberra salon, kind of like a prequel to the main event (see below), with a public service theme. Really? 5pm at DAFF in Civic.
Fri 16 - Sun 18 Sept - Canberra Short Film Festival at Dendy. Opening night film is Shaun Tan's The Lost Thing (Oscar winner).
Sun 18 Sept - In Full Swing at Floriade on Stage 88, no less. From 12-2 pm. We've hit the big time. Where's my rider?
Tue 20 Sept - Documentary about California's focus on renewable energy at the National Library from 6pm. I think I'd better cycle.
Sat 24 Sept - TEDx Canberra at the National Library from 8.30 am. Conflictingly on at the same time as the Lifeline Book Fair at EPIC (all weekend).
Tue 27 Sept - Lecture on science and the world's future at CSIRO Discovery. It's the David Rivett memorial lecture, which often sells out. From 5pm.
Thu 29 Sept - 1940s musical revue with an American big band, singers and swing dancers. Tickets $80-90, but looks entertaining.
